The Chinese side were knocked down to the lower bracket in the opening round by Alter Ego and cleared three rounds in the lower bracket to reach the semi-final. The Huns came in from the upper semi-final after going down to TYLOO.

At the end of the game, z4KR was 20-6 with a K-D ratio in excess of 3. The second map, Inferno was picked by The Huns but the Mongolians struggled in the first half. The Huns bagged five in a row to start the second half, closing the gap at 8-9 and gave Lynn Vision a run for their money but the Chinese side once again recovered at the very end and closed Inferno 13-11, breaking The Huns' comeback. The new-look Alter Ego took on FlyQuest in the second lower semi-final. The series started on Alter Ego's pick of Overpass and the Aussies dominated in the first half. Despite Alter Ego securing pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions, FlyQuest handed them a 4-8 disadvantage at halftime. The trio of BnTeT, BOROS and PokemoN put the Aussies out of commission in the second half. A flawless 9-0 second half saw Alter Ego take Overpass 13-8 as jks's 160 ADR showing on the CT-side went in vain. FlyQuest returned the favor on Anubis. After being marginally down at halftime, 5-7, FlyQuest stunned Alter Ego with a dominant CT half, going 8-2 to steal the map away from the Asian side. Vexite and jks put up CT-side ratings of 1.96 and 1.62 to take FlyQuest to a 13-9 win on Anubis.

After both teams won their map picks, the decider took us to Dust2 where FlyQuest recovered from a shaky start on the CT-side and tied the half 6-6. Alter Ego took a momentary lead with CT-side pistol and anti-eco wins but FlyQuest dropped five in a row to hit double figures and inch towards the match point at 11-8. PokemoN and Gratisfaction kept Alter Ego going as the Asian side pushed the game into overtime. Alter Ego dropped just a single round in Overtime to close Dust2 16-13 and the series 2-1 to advance to the lower-final.
