TYLOO stuns FaZe, stays alive at BLAST Open Rotterdam

After going down to FURIA in their opening match, TYLOO took on FaZe in the lower bracket with their backs against elimination. The series started on Mirage where TYLOO crushed FaZe's CT-side, flying off to an 8-0 start. JamYoung posted a 2.24 rating half with an ADR of 138 to fetch TYLOO a massive 9-3 lead in the first half. frozen and broky came alive in the second half, levelling the score at 10-10. TYLOO held on and closed Mirage 13-11, denying FaZe's comeback.

On FaZe's map pick, Ancient they started on The T-side with karrigan leading from the front, dropping consecutive multi-frag rounds. FaZe failed to capitalize on their 5-0 start as TYLOO clawed their way back into game, splitting the first half 6-6, completely binning FaZe's lead. Pistol and anti-eco wins on the T-side saw TYLOO take a momentary lead at 8-6 but karrigan kept gunning down TYLOO's aggressive plays with frozen and jcobbb joining the party to fetch FaZe a 13-8 win on Ancient to push the series into the decider.

The decider took us to Overpass and TYLOO started on the T-side. FaZe recovered from an early 1-5 deficit to draw the first half 6-6 but TYLOO had secured six rounds on the weaker side of Overpass, leaving FaZe at a considerable disadvantage. FaZe dropped the ball after pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions in the second half as TYLOO inched closer towards the series point at 11-9. Moseyuh finished Overpass with 22 frags to his name as TYLOO closed Overpass 13-11 to secure a 2-1 series win. TYLOO's win sent FaZe crashing out of BLAST Open Rotterdam without a single win. From just this win, the Chinese side is projected to gain over 100 VRS points, sending them closer to the IEM Cologne Major's invites range.
