5star wins ESN National Championship 2026
ESN National Championship 2026 has come to a close and NEXVOID conceded the grand-final to 5star after maintaining upper-bracket status throughout the main event. As a matter of fact, 5star were knocked down to the lower bracket by NEXVOID themself in the upper semi-final and the former BMZ, The Huns and The QUBE to setup a rematch in the grand-final.
The grand-final started on Nuke with NEXVOID on the CT-side. 5star recovered from an early deficit to split the first 6-6 and ran away with the map in the second half. 5star built a 11-6 lead off of a five-rounds streak to start their CT-side. 100+ ADR showings from NEUZ and hoolig4n saw 5star close Nuke 13-8, dropping just a couple of rounds in the second half.
The second map took us to 5star's pick of Anubis. NEXVOID started on the CT-side and struggled to get going after losing the pistol and anti-eco, eventually conceding a 4-8 disadvantage at halftime. After conceding the initial couple of rounds in the second half, 5star took control of the game once the gun rounds began, locking down a solid CT-side to take Anubis 13-6, wrap the series 2-0 and secure a title win at ESN National Championship 2026.
ESN National Championship started earlier this week with the LAN holding a lot of importance for teams like The Huns and Chinggis Warriors who were right outside the IEM Cologne Major's invites range at the time. NEXVOID are projected to bag a massive 156-point VRS boost, trailing The Huns who are at #5 in the Asian rankings.
