Rare Atom wins MaceMedia VOID Spring Cup 2026
Rare Atom have beaten Morningstar in the final of the MaceMedia VOID Spring Cup 2026 to win the $3000 LAN tournament held in Shanghai. Close to the VRS invite date for the IEM Cologne Major 2026, Rare Atom's pick helps them pick up some crucial points albeit still being far off from that Stage 1 invite spot.
Rare Atom had beaten Last Bullet in their opening round before going down to Morningstar in the upper bracket final 1-2 to drop to the lower bracket. They had to fight past Last Bullet again to qualify for the final and it was a dominant performance in the final to win the tournament.
The BO5 final got going on Rare Atom's pick of Dust2 where after an even first half, a strong CT side from Rare Atom saw them start with a 13-9 win. It was a more dominant show on Ancient as chengking and x9 powered Rare Atom to a 2-0 lead following a 13-6 win. Morningstar found their only map win in the final on Mirage, where a near-flawless T side powered by rage and expSasiKi saw them lock in a 13-7 win.
Rare Atom started Anubis with a 10 round T side which they converted to a 13-6 win to seal the series 3-1 win. x9 and chengking were the stars for Rare Atom as the duo dropped a 1.43 and 1.26 rating across the final.
