ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Cup 2 Day 7: Recap
The penultimate match of the ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Cup 2 saw the Consolidation final take place as BnTeT and co.'s Alter Ego faced FengDa for a place in the final. The Chinese team eventually came out on top as Alter Ego were eliminated from the cup.
The series got going on Alter Ego's pick of Nuke as the T side pistol and conversions helped them edge out ahead in the close half with a two round lead. With two pistols locked in along with the conversions, Alter Ego closed their map pick at 13-10 wit BnTeT topping the scoreboard with 25 kills. On the Chinese team's pick of Mirage, a seven round steak to close the CT side saw Alter Ego once again take a 7-5 lead but they were unable to close out three match points as FengDa pushed overtime and stole a 16-13 win with 3gl and p5p on top of the scoresheet with 28 and 27 kills respectively.
Alter Ego lost all the steam heading into the series decider on Dust2 as FengDa ran through them with a 13-4 win as Trash and Marek with a 1.75 and 1.87 rating helped FengDa reverse sweep the series 2-1.
FengDa will now take on BMZ in the final, which will be a rematch of the upper bracket final and with a ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Finals spot on the line.
