FACEIT set to add extra map

FACEIT has announced another big change for their upcoming Season 8, which kicks off from April 22, 2026. FACEIT have announced that starting from the upcoming season, there will be 8 maps in the map pool on FACEIT.

The twist to the new change is not only is the map pool being expanded but the 8th map apart from the 7 existing from the Active Duty pool, will be decided by the FACEIT Counter-Strike. FACEIT has revealed that the top 1,000 highest Elo players created the shortlist of three maps - Vertigo, Train, Cache and the community can vote for which map they want as the 8th map in the map pool.

The announcement comes just days after FACEIT announced that Season 8 will kick off from April 22, 2026 and the upcoming season will have a 'soft Elo reset' where players will need to play 10 placement games to get the new Elo.
