The Huns qualifies for PGL Astana 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier over NEXVOID
The Huns have taken down compatriots NEXVOID to qualify for the PGL Astana 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier after winning the East Asia Closed Qualifier. The Huns had to perform a reverse sweep in the final against a squad of veteran Mongolian players to move closer to a berth in the PGL Astana 2026 main event.
NEXVOID started the final with a strong CT side on their pick of Dust2 that saw them pick up a 13-7 win. NEXVOID's stellar CT sides continue as they went 9-3 up on Nuke and had one foot in the Asia Closed Qualifiers but the trio of Bart4k, controlez and xerolte kept The Huns alive with an eight-round streak on their CT half to steal a 13-11 win to tie up the series. The moment from Nuke continue as The Huns kept it clean on the decider to waltz to a 13-6 win to reverse sweep themselves to the Asia Closed Qualifier.
The Huns had beaten Vietnamese team VTM in the opening game of the PGL Astana 2026 East Asia Closed Qualifier before losing 1-2 to NEXVOID in the upper bracket final. After a clean win against Chinggis Warriors in the consolidation final, a rematch of the upper bracket final in the final this time went the way of The Huns. The Huns now join Ground Zero and DEPO in the Asia Closed Qualifier where the winner will book themselves a spot at PGL Astana 2026 main event.
