
Cache added to CS2
Valve bought the rights to de_cahce from FMPONE back in March 2026 and ever since, the community has speculated its official release week after week. Over a year later, Valve has finally added de_cahce to Counter-Strike 2. Back in its days in Global Offensive, de_cache was among the big three alongside Mirage and Dust2 as one of the most played maps both in competitive and casual settings.
The reworked Cache features a more neutral tone, moving away from the green tint. The community were quick to notice the removal of the graffiti under B-site's heaven which was a tribute to s1mple's lights out double no-scope clutch. The Counter-Strike legend even replied to it on X, claiming that he wasn't bother by it. At the moment, de_cache is added to competitive, casual and deathmatch modes but is speculated to make it into the active duty map pool in the next rotation. Many players and content creators have pointed out the map's optimization with some even calling it the best optimized map at debut.
