Vitality's Dust2 win streak comes to an end

BLAST Rivals Season 1 2026 kicked off yesterday with the current world #1 Vitality taking on FUT. After a convincing win on Mirage, Vitality were pushed to the limits with FUT managing to take a map off of them, before conceding the series. However, the map Vitality conceded was one of their strongest in recent times.

Dust2- a map that expands to touch either ends of the spectrum with wide open spaces and tight chokepoints sounds perfect on paper for a deadly combo like Vitality's, featuring ZywOo and ropz. apEX made the most of it, setting up double AWPs frequently and ropz going on exploration missions when he's not dawning the big green added another layer to Vitality's playbook.

Vitality won sixteen consecutive games on Dust2, before finally dropping one yesterday to FUT with the narrowest of margins at 11-13.apEX and co. surpassed several teams' records including two of their own to ascend to #2 in the list of notable Dust2 win streaks. Prime Ninjas in Pyjamas top the list with 24 consecutive wins on Dust2. Vitality posted ten consecutive wins on Dust2 last year and nine in 2024's second season.
