CTRLPOINT Asia 2026 announced

The tournament will run online

ViderGG has just announced an exclusive Asian Counter-Strike 2 tournament. CTRLPOINT Asia Season 1 is an online tournament (including playoffs) that carries a prize pool of $5,000 USD set to begin in June 2026. the tournament organizer will dispatch invites based on Valve's June 2026 VRS update, bringing eight teams directly to Stage 2 (playoffs). Teams are handed invites in the Asian VRS from the ascending order excluding ones that are within the top twelve of the Global VRS.

The first stage of the main event will feature ten teams from the Asian VRS and six from open qualifiers. These open qualifiers are segregated as follows within Asia:

  • East Asia Open Qualifiers (2)

  • West Asia Open Qualifiers (2)

  • Oceania Open Qualifiers (2)

The tournament organizer has confirmed that Indian teams are eligible to take part in the West Asian open qualifier. These qualifiers will run simultaneously with the first set taking place on 26th June 2026 and the second set taking place on 1st July 2026. Registrations for the same will open on 18th June 2026- stay tuned for more information about the same.

A Swiss system iteration in Stage 1 filters out the top eight who advances to the playoffs. A single-elimination bracket playoffs will determine the winner. The entire tournament will run online.
