5star stun Chinggis Warriors; 12 in a row from dexter's boys sees them survive at ACL 2026
The final two games on the third day of the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 rounded off with the two group lower bracket finals as THUNDER dOWNUNDER and 5star survided with Chinggis Warriors being the surprise team to get knocked out. After a loss on the opening day, dexter's boys continued to impress as they keep themselves alive in Shanghai.
5star 2 - 0 Chinggis Warriors
The Group A lower bracket final saw an all-Mongolian clash between Chinggis Warriors and 5star and 5star started the series with a big 10-2 half on Nuke. 5star wasted no time in wrapping things up at 13-5 with NEUZ and hoolig4n topping the score board with 22 and 19 kills each. Chinggis Warriors finally found some form, starting Inferno with four round lead on their CT half. A near flawless defensive hold from 5star led by aruicle and hoolig4n saw 5star comeback to steal a 13-10 win to stun their higher ranked countrymen.

On their pick of Anubis, the Australian team stomped their way to a 13-5 win before Haunted House fought back on Dust2 and a double overtime affair saw the Uzbekistani team hold on for a 19-17 win to tie up the series. Haunted House started the decider on Nuke with momentum from Dust2, going 6-1 up before Liazz and asap powered THUNDER dOWNUNDER to a stunning comeback with dexter's boys walking away with a 13-6 win to take the series 2-1 on the back of 12 straight rounds.
