The MongolZ fall to Legacy to exit CS Asia Championships 2026
The final Asian team at the CS Asia Championships 2026, The MongolZ, have been eliminated after they lost to Legacy 1-2 in their quarter-final encounter. With Lynn Vision and TYLOO already being eliminated earlier from the Shanghai LAN, The MongolZ were the only Asian team in the Playoffs and alive in the tournament but bLitz and his boys exit, going down to the defending champions.
The MongolZ kicked off their pick of Inferno with the T pistol and sharp shooting from bLitz's boys saw them go 5-0 up before a double AWP setup from Legacy saw arT's secondary AWP help get the Brazilians on board. A couple of late B site shutdowns helped Legacy get a couple of rounds together but that was all they could manage as The MongolZ raced to a 9-3 start.
Legacy tied up the pistols and with bLitz having a rough map on the B site, Legacy hit back to put up seven in a row to take the lead of the map at 10-9 before an mzinho Apps push shutdown saw The MongolZ put up their first CT round. One was all The MongolZ managed as shoddy shooting from Techno and bLitz meant that The MongolZ were unable to convert their 9-3 lead as they fell 11-13.
A force buy win on Mirage made sure The MongolZ's CT side find early momentum as mzinho's A site shutdowns helped them go 8-4 up. A T side pistol and conversion saw them go 10-4 before Legacy, led by n1ssim, started another comeback. The MongolZ managed to hold on for a 13-10 win, denying any comeback attempts and pushing the series to a decider. The MongolZ T side on Nuke didn't have much teeth as it was arT's openers help them to an 8-4 half. Five in a row to start their CT side meant The MongolZ took the lead on Nuke but Legacy held on and it was the Brazilians picking up a 13-10 win this time to win the series 2-1.
