FlyQuest starts Stage 2 campaign with a loss to 9z
FlyQuest have started their IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2 with a beating at the hands of 9z as the Australian team suffered a loss in their opening BO1 game. After fighting through Stage 1, taking down teams like Liquid, FlyQuest were brought down to reality at the hands of the South American squad. The Australian squad has now dropped to the 0-1 bracket and will be back in the action later on today for their second BO1.
max denied story a 1v3 in the opening pistol on Dust2 which gave the South American team the CT pistol barring a double opener from nettik, there was nothing much to show for initially for FlyQuest on their T side. A big jks transfer on the entry on the B site and a jks 1v1 against HUASOPEEK gave the Australian squad a shot at at least four T rounds but they fumbled the final round to a low buy with a couple of pistols that saw 9z go 8-4 up.
A full house from jks and Vexite saw FlyQuest pick up a big CT pistol and managed to bring it to a respectable score line, , getting it to a two round game. A big round from meyern and dgt saw 9z put up their first T round and 9z managed to close it out from there at 13-9 to put themselves into the 1-0 bracket.
