FlyQuest demolish Liquid to make IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2
FlyQuest has confirmed themselves a spot in Stage 2 of the ongoing IEM Cologne Major 2026 after hammering Liquid in the 2-2 bracket game of Stage 1. The Australian squad dominated EliGE and co. as FlyQuest became the second Asia-Pacific team to book themselves a place in Stage 2 after TYLOO qualified for the next stage earlier in the day as well.
FlyQuest kicked off their qualification game on Anubis with a clean pistol as nettik and Vexite netted two each. The CT pistol gave the Australian squad the momentum as it was complete domination with Liquid just unable to penetrate the FlyQuest defences. FlyQuest picked up 10 on their CT side but Liquid had the chance to pick up a crucial pistol thanks to a big NAF triple but jks and INS made sure FlyQuest didn't fumble a 5v3. That was the final nail in the coffin as FlyQuest picked up a dominating 13-2 win on their pick.
Inferno was a similar story as Liquid started their map pick on the T side and there was nothing to show from the North American squad as FlyQuest put up another strong CT half, this time going 9-3 up. and it was a Deagle and a single MAG-7 putting FlyQuest on map and match point which they converted at 13-7. The 2-0 series win sees FlyQuest become the penultimate team to qualify for Stage 2 from Stage 1 and along with TYLOO, FlyQuest will be one of the two Asia-Pacific teams participating in Stage 2.
