FlyQuest eliminates THUNDER dOWNUNDER from the IEM Cologne Major 2026
FlyQuest have kept their IEM Cologne Major 2026 campaign alive after beating countrymen THUNDER dOWNUNDER in their elimination game at Stage 1. The win sees FlyQuest move into the 2-2 bracket while THUNDER dOWNUNDER head home from the IEM Cologne Major 2026 from Stage 1 with a 1-3 record.
aliStair's quad including a 1v1 against story won to time saw THUNDER dOWNUNDER start FlyQuest's pick of Anubis with the T pistol but FlyQuest answered with the upgraded pistols to get on the board with the force buy. The force buy win saw FlyQuest put up eight in a row before asap opened up the A site and a quad kill from asap saw THUNDER dOWUNDER find their second and they managed to finish the half with four T rounds.
A triple from dexter saw THUNDER dOWNUNDER lock in both pistols on Anubis and Liazz and asap converted a 2v3 to avoid another fumble against the force. THUNDER dOWNUNDER did drop another round to the pistol post that as Vexite's Deagle got FlyQuest's T side going. A back and forth half saw FlyQuest hold on for a close 13-10 win.
Moving to THUNDER dOWNUNDER's pick of Inferno, it was all FlyQuest as they started with a 12-0 CT side and strolled to a 13-3 win to keep themselves alive in the Major and send THUNDER dOWNUNDER home.
