Gratisfaction joined Alter Ego in September 2025

Polbandana and Gratisfaction leave Alter Ego

The team hasn't won a single event in 2026 so far

Through a post on X, Polbandana announced his departure from Alter Ego. The Ukrainian expressed gratitude towards the Asian venture and announced his return to Europe in search of other opportunities. Soon after, Gratisfaction followed with a similar announcement, parting ways with Alter Ego.

Polbandana was an absolute unit at Alter Ego, consistently racking up positive ratings to end his tenure with the Asian squad with an average rating of 1.14 and a 1+ rating across 75% of the maps. Gratisfaction held on his own, with an average rating of 1.04, posting a 58.8% map win rate. Alter Ego are yet to announce replacements.

Alter Ego would post strong starts in most events but fall apart towards the end. To add firepower and cover the last mile, the Asian org added BORORS to their roster back in March 2026 but things have been counter productive for Alter Ego ever since to say the least. The stellar Jordanian rifler had a reputation for stirring up controversies and landing in trouble, which continued after his move to Alter Ego. BOROS was caught firing racial slurs at Asian Counter-Strike players and was also banned from HERO Asian Champions League after he made a racist remark.
