Complexity send Cloud9 home
Day 3 of IEM Sydney started with the Group B lower bracket semi-final between Cloud9 and Complexity with elimination on the line.
First up was Complexity's pick of Anubis and after a tied opening half at 6-6, Complexity ran away with the second half to pick up a comfortable 13-9 win to draw first blood.
Cloud9's pick of Ancient was another one-sided affair, this time H0bbit and co. making sure they kept themselves alive in the series. Cloud9 started with a dominating 11-1 lead on the T side and then managed to close out the map at 13-6 to push the series to a decider on Inferno.
A stellar defence from Complexity saw them start with a 9-3 lead on Inferno and it was a flawless T side which saw them win Inferno 13-3 and take the series 2-1.
Complexity will now face Monte in the final Group Stages game to book a spot in the playoffs.
