Vantage, Arcade stay alive in Oceanic Closed Qualifier
The first lower-bracket went all the way and then some more with three maps of regulation and one overtime. With a hefty 8-4 lead over Vantage in the first half of Ancient, KZG traded their way to a 13-8 win, despite a shaky second half. Going into the second map, Nuke, Vantage blew KZG out of the water with a 9-3 T-side.
A couple of rounds was all that KZG could claw back, as Vantage levelled the series at 1-1 after taking Nuke 13-5. The trio of dpr, Estate and Hassie gave KZG a stellar 9-3 lead in the decider, Anubis but Vantage answered back with a T-side showing of their own. Going 12/6 with an ADR of 105, alecc led the charge as Vantage pushed the game into overtime, where they squeezed out a narrow 16-14 win to wrap up a 2-1 series.

The second lower bracket game featured Housebets and Arcade where the latter started on the T-side of Inferno with a 8-1 lead, eventually taking an 8-4 first half. Housebets fought tooth and nail in the second half but Arcade's early paid off, as they limped across the line 13-11.
The second map took us to Nuke, where Housebets did not let Arcade build on their early 0-4 lead and drew the first half 6-6. Arcade won the T-side pistol but conceded the anti-eco, off of which Housebets strung up three rounds in a row. Once the gun rounds began, Arcade's T-side was too explosive to contain for Housebets, as the former closed out Nuke 13-10 and the series 2-0.

With their loss in the lower-bracket, Housebets and KZG end their Oceanic Closed Qualifier run and crash out of RMR contention. Vantage and Arcade have set themselves up for the lower bracket semi-finals against Mindfreak and The Art of War tomorrow at 03:30PM IST.
