Chinggis Warriors eliminate sloppy SAW
Chinggis Warriors survived at their home event, the MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025, sending SAW home from the event and keeping themselves alive and in the mix for a Playoffs spot.
The 0-1 swiss round 2 game kicked off on the Mongolian squad's pick of Ancient where a strong CT half from Chinggis Warriors saw them fight back from a 5-7 deficit in the opening half to close out a 13-10 win with cool4st topping the scoreboard with 25 kills with an ADR on 108.5. SAW fought back on their pick of Nuke, starting with an 8-4 lead but it was Chinggis Warriors fighting back and the Mongolian team hit match point first before a crucial clutch from MUTiRiS in the final round of regulation pushed the map to overtime. A tight affair in overtime saw SAW hold on for a 19-16 win to push the series to the decider on Inferno.
Inferno though, was a complete stomp as Chinggis Warriors ran all over the Portuguese squad with ROUX dropping 21 kills in the Mongolian team's 13-5 win to take the series 2-1. With the loss, SAW become the second team after The Huns to be eliminated in 7-8th place while Chinggis Warriors along with Eruption are the two remaining Mongolian teams in Ulaanbaatar and both are in the 1-1 bracket now.
