Eruption go down fighting to BIG
The final game of the opening day at MESA Nomadic Masters Spring 2025 saw Mongolia's Eruption take on German squad BIG with Eruption's valiant fight against tabseN and co. not being enough as they went down 1-2 in their first group stage game.
Eruption's pick of Ancient saw BIG take a slight lead on their CT half but a strong CT half from the Mongolians saw them hit map point first. BIG though, managed to push the map to overtime, where they closed it at 16-13 with Krimbo pulling his team across the line with 30 kills. Dust2, the German's age-old pick, kicked off with a tied opening half but once again a strong CT half, despite losing the second pistol saw Eruption bounce back with a 13-9 win to tie up the series.
The back-and-forth affair continued as three on the trot saw Eruption tie up Mirage's opening half but it was a strong start to their T side saw BIG run away to a 12-6 lead before Eruption pulled back a couple of rounds. The Mongolians pulled it back to a one-round difference but BIG managed to hold on for a 13-11 win to take the series 2-1 and avoid an upset at the hands of the replacement team at the event.
