Lynn Vision; Rooster lock in ESL Pro League S22 slot

Season 49 of the ESL Challenger League has come to a close across all five regions, sending one team each to the big leagues. Five slots at the ESL Pro League Season 22 were reserved for ESL Challenger League winners across five regions- Asia, Oceania, North America, South America and Europe.

After putting up a strong run in the group stage at ESL Challenger League Season 49: Asia, Lynn Vision finished second and were placed in the upper-bracket semi-finals. Their opponent, The Huns forfeit the match, sending them directly into the upper-final. Lynn Vision made the most of it, taking down TYLOO twice to book their EPL S22 slot.

In the Oceanic ECL, Rooster finished at the top of the points table in the group stage and cleared the playoffs with ease, taking down Housebets and Mindfreak. Rooster will mark their fourth ESL Pro League appearance at Season 22.

Europe has by far proven to be the toughest ESL Challenger League circuit to clear due to the sheer volume of teams. In the group stage, B8 finished 1st from group C with a 4-1 record. After losing their high group upper quarter-final, they scraped through from the lower-bracket. B8 were once again stopped in their tracks by SINNERS in the upper-final of the playoffs but the Ukrainian side set up a rematch and took them down in the grand-final.

After a shaky group stage in the North American ECL, NRG put up a flawless playoffs run taking down BLUEJAYS, Getting Info and Nouns to book their ESL Pro League S22 slot. From the South American ECL, Fluxo put up a stellar upper-bracket run in the playoffs, clearing it without dropping a single map.
