The MongolZ run through FURIA
The MongolZ made sure it wasn't all doom and gloom for the Asian teams on the opening day at IEM Dallas 2025 as bLitz and his boys handed FURIA a 2-0 beating in their opening game.
FURIA's pick of Anubis started the series with a FalleN triple getting FURIA on board after The MongolZ started with four-in-a-row on their T side. FURIA's captain led from the front to keep it at a tied half at the break before young mzinho led the charge on the CT half from the Mongolian squad that saw them race away to a 13-7 win. mzinho topped the scoreboard on Anubis with 24 kills and an ADR of 124.
The MongolZ T-side got off to a quick start on their pick of Mirage and it was a couple of chaotic rounds to end the half with a molodoy clutch helping FURIA end with four on their defensive side. A YEKINDAR triple opener on the B site saw FURIA pick up a flawless pistol but the second half pistol and conversion was all FURIA could manage on their T side as The MongolZ kept it clean once they brought out the guns as Techno and 910's duo on the B site was unpenterable for FURIA which saw The MongolZ secure Mirage 13-7 to lock in an quick 2-0.
The MongolZ now will take on G2 next in the Group A upper bracket semi-final while FURIA fall to the lower bracket.
