s1mple and co. eliminated from Dallas by HEROIC
HEROIC have ended FaZe's run at IEM Dallas 2025 in the lower bracket semi-final as they reverse swept s1mple and co. 2-1 after a chaotic three map series which ended in the favour of LNZ and his boys.
HEROIC's pick of Ancient saw them go 4-0 up on their T side but with karrigan leading from the front, FaZe pulled it back to a tied opening half. karrigan continued to frag out as the captain for FaZe made up for s1mple having an off map, with karrigan's 23 kill show powering FaZe to a 13-9 win on their opponent's map pick.
HEROIC's stellar T side led by the duo of xfl0ud and SunPayus powered HEROIC to an 8-4 lead and LNZ's boys gave no chance of a comeback opportunity for FaZe as they picked up a dominant 13-7 win to tie up the series. Mirage was a similar slow start for FaZe as barring a couple of low buy round wins, it was all HEROIC as they took a four round lead on their T side.
EliGE and karrigan teamed up to pick up a crucial second half pistol for FaZe which helped them bring it to a one-round game. tN1R's 1v2 had HEROIC lined up to close out the map with ease but it was karrigan again with an impactful 1v2 clutch with the Tec-9 that kept FaZe's T-side alive and it was frozen's 1v4 which saw FaZe hit map and match point but HEROIC hung on to push it to overtime.
A yxngstxr smoke defuse in overtime paved way for a HEROIC 16-14 win to see them reverse sweep the series 2-1 and send FaZe home. HEROIC will now take on Aurora in the lower bracket final later on tonight, scheduled for 02:00 AM IST.
