Chinese CS on the rise?
With TYLOO taking down FlyQuest in the final game of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 1, the team list for Stage 2 has been confirmed and we will have two Asian teams in Stage 2. Lynn Vision and TYLOO, both Chinese teams, qualified on the second day, with the two teams making it through with a 3-2 record.
The two Asian representatives in Stage 2 will face some tough competition as the likes of Falcons, FaZe and HEROIC amongst others in the next stage. An interesting and fun fact about the remainder of the Austin Major 2025 (Stage 2 and Stage 3) is that there will be more Chinese players in attendance than from a region regarded as one Counter-Strike's strongest regions - Denmark.
Denmark, which not only boasts of legendary Counter-Strike players such as device, dupreeh, karrigan, Magisk amongst others and have had some of the most successful teams come out from the country, have had a rough couple of years and have only 6 players remaining in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 (karrigan, Magisk, TeSeS, nicoodoz, Buzz and Chr1zN). There are no Danish players currently apart of the teams already invited to Stage 3. MOUZ's coach sycrone is the only Danish name amongst the Stage 3 names currently.
On the other hand, Chinese Counter-Strike has seen a resurgence as we will see a total of 10 Chinese players take part in Stage 2, from the two lineups of Lynn Vision and TYLOO.
Can TYLOO and Lynn Vision make Asian Counter-Strike great? We will have to wait and see with both teams kicking off their BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 2 campaigns later tonight.
