HOTU, UR book closed qualifier slots for ESL Pro League S22
HOTU vs YoungTalents
HOTU took on YoungTalents in the qualification match at the ESL Pro League Asian open qualifier. The first map of the series took us to Dust2 where HOTU started on the T-side. YoungTalents conceded the first gun round after pistol and anti-eco losses, putting their economy in a tricky spot right off the bat. While everyone on HOTU looked solid, dukefissura was a step above, stealing the show.
A mind-blowing 3.04 rating, 182 ADR T-side from the Kazakh rifler, fetched HOTU a massive 10-2 lead on the T-side of Dust2. YoungTalents stood no chance, as HOTU closed out with a clean 3-0 CT-side, taking Dust2 13-2. The second map took things from bad to worse for YoungTalents, as the Russian side could not win a single round, following their pistol round win on the CT-side. A near-flawless T-side on Nuke saw HOTU close the map 13-1, wrapping the series 2-0 to book an Asian closed qualifier spot for the ESL Pro League Season 22.

UR vs LFO 5
LFO 5's quarter final game against UR at the ESL Pro League Asian open qualifier started on Ancient where both team traded rounds initially but UR built momentum towards the end with madness and tw1nk1e stepping up. LFO 5 put up a good fight in the second half, however, UR's lead helped them steer clear of LFO 5's comeback, closing Ancient 13-7.
A pistol round win on Mirage was an ideal start for LFO 5 but upon fumbling the anti-eco, they struggled to recover, especially after UR ran down their gun round with a couple of MP9s. UR cruised through the CT-side with tw1nk1e putting up a 150 ADR half, as the Chinese side secured a 9-3 lead in the first half. LFO nearly returned the favor in the second half, stealing the anti-eco and running away with a six-rounds streak but once again, UR's first half lead bailed them out as the Chinese closed out Mirage 13-9, advancing to the closed qualifier for the ESL Pro League Season 22.
