IHC edge past NomadS to stay alive at EPL S22 Asia Closed Qualifiers
The second lower bracket semi-final at the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Closed Qualifier had an all Mongolian clash which saw IHC get the better of countrymen NomadS in a back and forth series. Despite losing the opening map, IHC fought back to reverse sweep NomadS out of the qualifiers and keep their own lower bracket run going.
clouden and HenX led the charge for NomadS on their CT side of IHC's pick of Infenro which saw a strong defensive hold help them take a 13-7 win. A 5-0 start on NomadS' pick of Mirage saw IHC see off a late comeback attempt to take a 13-10 win on their opponent's pick with yAmi and Aapestt topping the scoreboard with 19 kills each.
The decider on Ancient saw NomadS start with the CT pistol but IHC were quick on the board as soon as they brough out the guns with cool4st denying HenX a 1v2. Neither team was able to put together a string of rounds before NomadS found late momentum which saw a clouden triple in the final round of the half help NomadS take a 7-5 lead. The back and forth nature of the game continued before IHC stole map and match point with a couple of SMGs and a cool4st double in the final round of regulation saw IHC hold on in a 4v5 situation to take a 13-11 win, closing out a tight and chaotic map.
IHC will take on SemperFi in the lower bracket final while the loss marks the end of the road for NomadS at the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Closed Qualifier.
