ex-TALON go down fighting to UR
UR sent ex-TALON home from the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Closed Qualifier after a hard fought lower bracket match which saw the Chinese team take a narrow 2-1 win to see themselves stay afloat in the qualifier.
ex-TALON's T side was just not able to get going on Mirage as UR ran away to a 6-1 lead before a couple of late rounds with hazr's openings getting four for ex-TALON. A flawless T side with the Chinese team playing in perfect harmony saw UR ease to a 13-4 win on their map pick to get the series going.
Despite starting slow on Dust2, four T rounds on the trot saw ex-TALON take a two round lead going into the half. A back and forth second half led to a vigorous overtime encounter which saw neither team willing to concede. It took two overtimes and a clean CT finish sterling's AWP finding impact to see ex-TALON tie up the series with a 19-17 win with ADDICT dropping 37 frags to top the scoreboard.
ex-TALON's T side was missing as UR raced away to an 8-2 lead on their CT side on Inferno before hazr made sure they picked up at least four T rounds. Despite losing the second pistol and going 4-11 down, ex-TALON kept fighting with hazr and ADDICT stepping up to keep the Australian team alive as they held on in crucial clutch situations. ex-TALON almost pulled it back to overtime but a late B hit saw reason close out the map with a 1v3 as ADDICT ran out of time at the end to see his team go down 10-13.
After sending one Australian team home, UR will be taking on SemperFi next in their lower bracket semi-final game with the Chinese team looking to make it two out of two in eliminating the teams from Down Under while SemperFi will be looking to stick the lower bracket run.
