Chinggis Warriors on top in close fought Mongolian derby
Chinggis Warriors came out on top in the Mongolian derby as they got the better of compatriots NomadS in the upper bracket semi-final of the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Closed Qualifier.
A seven round streak on their T side despite losing the pistol and conversions saw NomadS start their pick of Ancient with an 8-4 lead but Chinggis Warriors fought back on their T side as ROUX, bkzcurs3d and Efire helped Chinggis steal a 13-11 victory. It was Chinggis' turn to start strong, this time going 4-1 up on their pick of Nuke before clouden and Paranormal helped NomadS tie up the half. Chinggis started their CT side with six straight rounds to race away to 12-6 before NomadS fought back to bring it to a one round game. controlez's double opener eventually was the final nail in the coffin as Chinggis Warriors held on for a 13-11 win to take the series 2-0.
Chinggis Warriors now move into the upper bracket final and will take on HOTU while NomadS drop to the lower bracket semi-finals where they will fight for the tournament lives.
