IHC eliminates SemperFi after Anubis overtime affair
Mongolian team IHC ended SemperFi's run at the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Closed Qualifier as IHC picked up a hard fought 2-0 series win in the lower bracket final to move into the Consolidation Final and send SemperFi home.
The series started on the Mongolian team's pick of Nuke for the lower bracket final under with IHC racing to a 5-0 start. There was little resistance from SemperFi's defence as IHC started with a four round lead going into the break. IHC locked in both pistols which finalised the result and despite SemperFi managing a couple of rounds, it was IHC starting with a 13-7 win.
SemperFi started Anubis on a strong note, picking up a two round lead on their CT half to get things going but it was IHC's CT side streak of six rounds that saw them race to an 11-7 lead. SemperFi saw off four match points to push it to overtime and it took two overtimes with SemperFi fighting tooth and nail but it was IHC keeping it clean in second overtime to lock a 19-15 win.
IHC will now face Chinggis Warriors in the Consolidation Final next while SemperFi's journey ends in the lower bracket final.
