HOTU sails to ESL Pro League Season 22
HOTU completed a dominant run in the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Closed Qualifier as they breezed to ESL Pro League Season 22 after a lopsided grand final where they beat Mongolian team IHC in a dominant fashion.
The final was a repeat of the Stage 2 upper bracket quarter-final between these two teams and the Nuke loss in the game was the only map HOTU dropped in the qualifiers as they went on to take down the likes of SemperFi and Chinggis Warriors on their way to qualifying for ESL Pro League Season 22. HOTU now see themselves having booked a berth at ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1.
mizu finished as the highest rated player in the Asia Closed Qualifier with a 1.55 rating from 11 maps.
IHC's pick of Nuke kicked off the grand final with the Mongolian team starting with the T side pistol but that was about it was HOTU closed the half on a seven round streak before a relatively clean T side saw them ease to a 13-3 win with dukefissura topping the scoreboard with 21 kills. HOTU's pick of Train started with a couple of multi-kill rounds from mizu early on which laid the platform for a strong T side for HOTU. A 9 round T side was followed clean pistol full house from frontales and lampada which saw HOTU breeze to a 13-3 win to lock in the grand final 2-0.
