Liquid sends FlyQuest home from Cologne

Liquid survive despite Dust2 blowout

FlyQuest's IEM Cologne 2025 campaign ended in Stage 1 itself as they went down to Liquid in their lower bracket round 2 match with jks unable to get the better of his former team.

The action kicked off on FlyQuest' pick of Nuke which was Twistzz leading the show as 10 round CT half helped them ease to a 13-6 win with Twistzz dropping 29 kills in 19 rounds of action. The Australian team answered back in style on Liquid's pick of Dust2 as it was a near flawless CT half to get things going.

With regali's AWP taking control of the map, FlyQuest hammered Liquid 13-3 to tie up the series and find some much needed momentum. That momentum though, didn't last for long as after a trade of rounds to get Ancient going, a strong CT half saw Liquid take an 8-4 lead. Early impact from NertZ saw Liquid race away to a 12-4 scoreline before FlyQuest' defence put up a fight. Despite getting a couple of rounds on the board, FlyQuest were unable to stick the comeback as Liquid held on for a nervy 13-9 win to lock in the series 2-1.

The loss marks the end of the road for FlyQuest in Cologne but it sees Liquid proceed ahead to Stage 2.
