TYLOO send Astralis home from EWC 2025 early
TYLOO's Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 CS2 campaign started in an incredible manner as the Chinese team reverse swept Astralis in their opening encounter in the Round of 16 to send the Danes home from EWC 2025 on the opening day itself.
Barring the pistol and conversions, TYLOO managed just one gun round on their pick of Infenro on the T side as a stellar CT half from the Danes saw them go 8-4 up. Despite JamYoung topping the server, there was little to no support for him with Astralis holding on for a 13-8 win, seeing off a couple of late CT rounds from the Chinese team.
TYLOO were lucky to start Overpass with a tied half as Astralis were unable to capitalise on multiple early man advantages and JamYoung denied device a 1v2 in the final round of the opening half to see the score tied up. A near flawless T side saw TYLOO race to a 13-7 win to tie up the series with Moseyuh on top of the scoreboard with 21 kills.
Early impact from stavn, device and Staehr meant that Astralis race away to a 7-1 CT lead on the decider on Train. A couple of big multi-kill rounds from Moseyuh and Jee saw TYLOO manage to salvage the half with four T rounds but the Chinese team almost dropped a 5v3 in the pistol with Moseyuh needing to come in with a 1v2 to make sure TYLOO picked up a critical pistol.
The pistol win propelled an incredible comeback from TYLOO and with Moseyuh at the helm of it, TYLOO stole a 13-10 win to reverse sweep the Danes 2-1 and send Astralis home from EWC 2025.
