Magisk returns to Astralis

Astralis have announced that one of Counter-Strike's most decorated players and someone who had lifted three Major trophies with them, Magisk, is returning to the team with immediate effect. Magisk will be replacing stavn on the lineup as the four-time Major champion was released by Falcons, earlier in the day. Magisk's return comes days after HLTV had reported that the Danish team is looking to bring back the 27-year old to replace stavn.

Magisk, who shot to fame during his first stint with Astralis between February 2018 - December 2021, returns to the Danish team, where he won three Major trophies. He will also be reunited with his former teammate, device.

Having started his career with SK in 2015, Magisk had stints with Dignitas, North and OpTic before joining Astralis in 2018. Over the course of the next couple of years, Magisk was part of the storied Astralis lineup, having won numerous trophies and accolades over the years. Magisk left Astralis to join Vitality in January 2022, where he was reunited with his former Astralis coach Dupreeh and coach zonic. Magisk won his fourth Major trophy at Vitality, winning the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which was also incidentally, the final CS:GO Major.

The Danish rifler left Vitality with zonic, to join Falcons in December 2023. Falcons' aims of building a super team with Magisk on the team did not come to fruition as the team struggled initially and after having finished runners up to Vitality for the majority of the first season of 2025, Magisk was benched at Falcons as the Saudi Arabian organisation bought in kyousuke.

Magisk will now return to Astralis, where he made his name as one of the finest anchors in the game and he will replace stavn, who is taking an indefinite break due to personal reasons.
