ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 2 Day 5: Recap
The fifth day of the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 2 had two lower bracket games taking place with two national derbies taking place as teams from Mongolia and China battled it out to keep themselves alive in the tournament.

The Huns on top in regional derby
The first lower bracket semi-final saw the two Mongolian teams, The Huns and Eruption up against each other. Dust2, Eruption's pick, headed to overtime as both teams continued to trade a string of rounds. It was The Huns eventually with a clean sweep in overtime to lock in a 16-12 win. A strong CT half on Inferno made sure The Huns closed the series on their own map pick with a 13-8 win with nin9 stepping up with AWP. nin9 finished the series with a 1.50 rating.

UR keeps lower bracket run going
The other semi-final in the lower bracket had a Chinese derby with UR facing compatriots Last Bullet. UR saw off a valiant T side comeback attempt from Last Bullet on their pick of Ancient to start the series with a 13-9 win. Last Bullet's clean CT side made sure they tied the series with a 13-5 win. The decider on Inferno saw Last Bullet turn around a 3 round T side to push the map to overtime and UR hung on for a narrow 16-14 win to close the series 2-1.

The Huns will now face UR in the lower bracket final on September 17, 2025 while Chinggis Warriors and Rare Atom will take on each other in the upper bracket final on September 18, 2025.
