Rare Atom fall to Take me away in CAC 2025 China Open Qualifier final
Rare Atom's woes continued as the Chinese powerhouse went down to Take me away in the grand final of the CS Asia Championships 2025 China Open Qualifier, resulting in failure to move ahead from a qualifier they were expected to clear by their standards.
A string of late rounds on their T side of Dust2 meant that Rare Atom started their pick with a two round lead and three on the trot as soon as the guns game out saw them go 10-7 up. The defence fell apart though, with Take me away putting together a strong T side to steal a 13-11 win with the trio of seas, StarBlank and Mort1s getting their team over the line.
Take me away continued the momentum on their pick of Train with the T pistol and after a tied opening half, a strong defensive hold led by 4DreaM and chuzhongT meant that Take me away stunned Rare Atom 13-9 with chuzhongT topping the scoreboard with 24 kills and a rating of 1.81.
By winning the final, Take me away qualified for the CS Asia Championships 2025 Asia Closed Qualifier, becoming the fourth and final team in the closed qualifier after Alter Ego, SemperFi and The Huns. The winner of the closed qualifier will make it to the main event, set to take place later on in October 2025 in Shanghai.
