The MongolZ survive TYLOO scare

Techno top-frags in the decider after a 4-frag opening map

The MongolZ met TYLOO in the 1-1 pool at FISSURE Playground 2. The defending champions bested the Asian powerhouse in a early force-buy battle on Mirage, going up 5-1 on the CT-side with the trio of Moseyuh, Jee and JamYoung landing crucial multi-frag sequences round after round. After a tactical timeout, The MongolZ turned up the heat as bLitz consistently landed his shots in mid, giving The MongolZ ample space to split towards either side of the map as they levelled the score 6-6 in the blink of an eye.

TYLOO went for a quick A-split on their T-side pistol round but were mowed down by mzinho, wielding the duelies in the middle of the site. The MongolZ followed mzinho's ace round with an anti-eco conversion after which TYLOO clawed back a couple of gun rounds, levelling the score at 8-8. It was mzinho once again who was the tie breaker, slapping Jee and Moseyuh out of the round with a measly USP and going on to get his second ace of the match with a picked up AK.

JamYoung and Moseyuh stepped up to put TYLOO on match point despite mzinho and 910's solid A-site holds. A JamYoung tiple kill sealed the deal as TYLOO stole The MongolZ map pick, Mirage 13-10, going 1-0 up in the series. A Senzu triple kill with the USP fetched saw The MongolZ take the CT-side pistol round on Overpass but TYLOO stole the anti-eco off of a dropped M4. From last moment ninja defuses to sneaky smoke pushes, nothing seemed to work out for The MongolZ as TYLOO went up 6-1 on the T-side of Overpass. Techno opened with a couple of MP9 frags, forcing TYLOO to save, giving The MongolZ their second CT-side round at 6-2.

910's AWP quickly found its footing, landing crucial impact frags every round thereafter, tying the score at 6-6. mzinho dropped three glock frags and knifed Mercury to win the pistol round for The MongolZ and consistent multi-frag rounds from the 18-year old took MongolZ to double figures before they lost a round to time at 10-8. The MongolZ emerged ahead in their mid-rounds, toppling TYLOO's defenses to close Overpass 13-10, taking the series to the decider, Ancient.

After fumbling a 3v1 to Moseyuh in the pistol round, The MongolZ executed a clinical force-buy retake in the second round to bounce back 1-1 and then shut down TYLOO's A-split, forcing the Chinese side down to a couple of upgraded pistol with which TYLOO toppled the B-defense, leaving The MongolZ with a saved AWP alongside a couple of MP9s. The MongolZ outclassed TYLOO, derailing their T-side to slide an 8-4 half in their favor. Attacker landed three USP frags to give TYLOO the pistol round and then closed a 1v3 in the anti-eco, breaking The MongolZ's economy.

Once the gun rounds began, The MongolZ broke through on the T-side with mzinho making the difference round after round, fetching The MongolZ a 13-7 win, sending TYLOO down to the 1-2 pool. The MongolZ now go up to the 2-1 pool, just a single bo3 win away from securing a playoffs spot at FISSURE Playground 2 while the defending champions TYLOO stand just a single loss away from elimination.
