The MongolZ climb to #1 in HLTV's live VRS

After their win against TYLOO in the 1-1 pool of FISSURE Playground 2, Asian powerhouse The MongolZ have hit #1 in live Global VRS, overtaking the likes of Vitality. HLTV's live Valve Global Ranking tracks and considers matches and secured prize pool from even unfinished events, updating the list on a daily basis. The MongolZ have been on the ascent for over a year and are currently sitting at #2 in HLTV's World ranking as of 8th September 2025.

If the projection were to continue until Valve's next Regional Standings update, The MongolZ will write yet another chapter in the records of Counter-Strike becoming the first ever Asian team to secure a #1 placement in Valve's Regional Standings (Global). No Asian team has ever secured the #1 spot in HLTV's World Rankings too.

In the most recent Valve Regional Standings update, The MongolZ broke into the top 3, competing with Vitality and Spirit for the top spot. After securing runners-up status in the most recent Major at Austin, The MongolZ have come out all guns blazing into the second season, even winning out the Esports World Cup last month taking down Vitality and Aurora in their playoffs campaign.
