Rare Atom win ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 2
After a string of poor results recently, Rare Atom stepped up when needed most as the Chinese team beat Chinggis Warriors in the Grand Final of the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 2. Rare Atom also extracted revenge on the Mongolian team for their upper bracket final loss just days ago, and had the last laugh, when it matter most.
The final got going on Chinggis Warriors' pick of Ancient as the Mongolian team raced away to a 4-0 start. Once Rare Atom brought out the guns, it was Tiger's AWP along with Marek stepping up, that saw Rare Atom close out the half with seven out of the last eight rounds to go 7-5 up and a clean T side from the Chinese team with ChildKing's rifle prowess that saw Rare Atom lock in a 13-8 win.
Mirage kicked off with a clean triple from controlez in the pistol to see Chinggis Warriors start the CT side with the early advantage. A couple of late A hits saw Rare Atom fight back to keep the half tied and while Chinggis Warriors secured a clean second half pistol and raced away to a 10-6 score line, Rare Atom fought back to keep the map alive. It was once again Tiger's AWP along with Summer and Marek pulling things back to see Rare Atom even go on to take a 11-10 lead but two B hits went unanswered as Chinggis Warriors stole a 13-11 to keep the series alive.
Chinggis Warriors' T side pistol and conversion win saw them have the chance early on to build a big lead but Rare Atom fought back with ChildKing and Summer making sure the Chinese team took a two round lead. A near flawless T side saw Rare Atom speedrun their T side to ease to a 13-6 win with ChildKing and Summer topping the scoreboard with 20 and 19 kills respectively.
The wins sees Rare Atom not only win the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Cup 2 but also qualify for the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Finals.
