Shenzhen to host FISSURE Playground 3
FISSURE has revealed the location for their next iteration of Playground. FISSURE Playground 3 was set to take place in China but the organizer had not made any comments on the city. During the grand-final of FISSURE Playground 2, it was announced that Shenzhen would host FISSURE Playground 3. The Silicon Valley of China will host FISSURE's third iteration of Playground from April 20th to 26th in 2026.
FISSURE Playground 2 recently concluded with The MongolZ falling short in the grand-final, netting FURIA their first ever S-tier event. FURIA's last notable win came at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 (A-tier). The win also marked FalleN's first S-tier trophy in six years, following his previous outing with FURIA way back in 2018 at ESL Pro League Season 8 - North America.
FISSURE Playground 3 will switch things up a bit starting with two GSL groups, sending six teams to the playoffs. The event carries a total prize pool of $1,500,000 USD. The event will mark Shenzhen's first ever S-tier Counter-Strike event.
