Sloppy show from The MongolZ puts them on the brink of elimination
After going down to HOTU in their opening game at ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 2, the world no.1 team and Asia's best, The MongolZ were beaten convincingly once again, this time by Inner Circle in their 0-1 bracket game. After a relative no-show on Dust2, The MongolZ had Mirage in the bag with a 10-5 score line but dropped the ball as a couple of sloppy CT holds saw them go down in two straight maps.
Techno's double opener with the Dualies saw them kick off Dust2 with the CT pistol and despite a clean conversion against the eco, they weren't able to build on that as Inner Circle was on the board as soon as the guns came out. Early impact from Dawy and onic saw Inner Circle build a substantial lead on their T side and with Flierax having his AWP join the party late on, Inner Circle went 8-4 up.
The MongolZ locked in both pistols on the Ukrainian team's pick but once again, as soon as the guns came out, the Mongolian team were clueless and were shut out with ease. Flierax and cairne topped the scoreboard for Inner Circle as they started with a 13-9 win.
A Flierax triple saw Inner Circle start Mirage with a clean pistol and after a 4-0 start it took a Techno 1v2 on the A site to get The MongolZ their first round on their map pick. A quick couple of rounds from The MongolZ also saw them break Inner Circle's economy and with 910's AWP finding impact, it was The MongolZ taking the half with seven straight rounds. bLitz made sure Senzu's pistol whiff didn't cost The MongolZ a big round and converting off the pistol win, The MongolZ were 11-5 up in not time.
A Dawy 1v3 on the B site got Inner Circle's first T round on the board. With Dawy taking control of the map on Inner Circle's T side, it was a 34-kill show from Dawy that saw Inner Circle close it out in two maps with a 13-11 win on Mirage.
