Skyesports CEGC SEA Qualifiers Day 1: Recap

True Thunder kick off the day with a 2-0 win

The first day at Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025 has ended, where a total of five games unravelled off stream. The Qualifier holds two spots for the LAN event in November.

Here is how the games fared:

Matches

  • Wolfgang vs BCT (1-0)
    BCT secured a win against WOLFGANG on Inferno to kick off today's games. With 20 frags, jonger lead the charge to pave way for a 13-6 win.

  • True Thunder vs Beyman Titan (2-0)
    True Thunder demolished Titan in the following game, clinching a 2-0 win. The first map was Mirage, where DayMake led the charge with his AWP and secured 22 frags. Then, clyd1e stole the spotlight on the second map, as True Thunder clinched a dominant 13-1 win.

  • Galacticos vs Umbrella (bye) (2-0)
    Galacticos struggled in the opening map against Umbrella, which took the two teams to Dust2. However, sylvain stood as the difference maker, as he crossed the 30 kills mark to take his team across the line with a 16-13 win. The second map Mirage went much smoothly for them, as the sealed the deal with a 13-5 win.

  • Wolfgang vs Glasssky (1-2)
    Next up was a matchup between Wolfgang and Glasssky, that went the distance. First, Glasssky managed to outlast their opponents with a 13-11 win on Overpass, which was followed by a 13-5 victory for Wolfgang on Inferno. On the decider Mirage, it was Glasssky that came out on top, managing to secure a 13-10 win.

  • Team Nemesis SEA vs Bocchi the Rock
    Team Nemesis got a bye as 2–3 players from Bocchi the Rock were unavailable to play.
