Mousquetaires confirm Skyesports CEGC CS2 LAN slot
MOLO and Mousquetaires clashed in the semi-final of the European Qualifier for the Chennai Esports Global Championship's Counter-Strike 2 LAN. MOLO started off strong on the CT-side of Inferno with a 3-0 lead but once the gun rounds began, Mousquetaires dictated the pace of the game and stole the lead, ending up with a slight 7-5 advantage at halftime. An impressive CT-defense from the Frenchmen saw Mousquetaires go 6-0 and win Inferno 13-5 off of a flawless CT-side. Old timer JACKZ stepped up with a 2.09 rating showing on Inferno.
MOLO came ahead in a grueling double overtime encounter on Nuke, besting Mousquetaires 19-17 with the narrowest of margins. Despite securing matchpoints with a couple of buffer rounds, multiple times, MOLO fumbled it and allowed Mousquetaires to enforce overtime after overtime. In second overtime it was the zakarinh0-njuKI duo that dragged MOLO across the finish line. The decider took us to Dust2 where Mousquetaires started with pistol and anti-eco losses. The French side denied MOLO the bonus round and the latter seemed too stubborn with their force buys, never really letting the economy recover.
Mousquetaires secured a big 9-3 lead on the T-side of Dust2 with pistol and anti-eco wins furthering their cause and diminishing MOLO's comeback hopes. Finishing the game with 25 frags and 7 deaths, devoduvek propelled Mousquetaires to a 13-4 win on Dust2, wrapping the series 2-1 to confirm their Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship LAN spot. Mousquetaires will take on BIG in the grand-final of the qualifier which counts for the main-event seeding.
