PGL Masters Bucharest 2025: Preview

Tournament kicks off this weekend

PGL Bucharest 2025 is all set to commence this weekend on 26th October 2025. The tournament will run for six days, ending on 1st November 2025. The group stage will accommodate sixteen teams in a Swiss system format, matching winners and losers in consequent games, sending teams with three wins to the next stage and eliminating teams with three losses.

The top eight teams head into the single-elimination bracket bo3 playoffs, concluding with a bo5 grand-final. A dedicated third place decider match will be held before the grand-final on 1st November 2025. The tournament carries a prize pool of $1,250,000 USD

While no Asian teams are in the tournament, FlyQuest made the cut through the Global VRS and is set to represent the broader Asia-Pacific region. The Aussies will take on GamerLegion in their opening match. Legacy take on Liquid in the tournament opener. In their previous clash, Legacy dropped the series at CAC 2025 after winning the opening map, conceding the upper-final.
