StarLadder Budapest 2025: Opening matches revealed

Through a post on X, StarLadder confirms the opening matches for the first stage of the StarLadder Budapest 2025 Major. The first stage of the Major will accommodate a total of sixteen teams including three from the Asia-Pacific region. A swiss system iteration will determine the eight teams that will proceed to the second stage of the Major. Teams with three wins advance and teams with three losses are eliminated.

In the opening round of games, Lynn Vision will take on a formidable opponent in FaZe. The Chinese side has never faced FaZe on LAN before and will look to take full advantage of FaZe's signature shaky group stage starts. The Huns will go up against Russian team PARIVISION who will come into the matchup off of an eight game win streak. The final round of matches will conclude with Rare Atom's clash against Imperial.

The first stage of the StarLadder Budapest 2025 Major will begin on 24th November 2025 with all the opening round's matches running concurrently at 02:30PM IST. This is how the opening round has shaped up:
