Arise disappoint after early promise to fall to BIG
The second India team at Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025, Arise, kicked off their campaign with a loss as well with Bhavi and co. going down to tabseN and his boys in their group stage encounter. After starting with promise on Overpass, a 5v2 pistol loss seemed to have taken the steam away from BIG as the German squad showed no mercy in closing things out post that with ease.
The win for BIG also confirms the German team's spot in the Final of the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025.
BIG kicked off their pick of Overpass with the T pistol and were 4-1 up in no time before reV3nnnn's AWP found rhythm to get Arise going. Big multi-kill rounds from clouda and Benzene saw Arise keep BIG lead to two at the break. tabseN and prosus turned around a 2v5 to steal the second pistol away from Arise. Ohter than a B site, opened by up clouda and Benzene that handed Arise their only T round, BIG kept it clean on the CT side to east to a 13-6 win.
tabseN handed BIG another pistol, this time on Arise's pick of Inferno to see the German team start with the CT pistol that saw them start with three on the trot. It took a multi-kill from Bhavi that saw Arise split to the B site to get on the board. Despite finding some trades, Arise were unable to finish the job as BIG kept racking up the rounds. A late A split saw Arise pick up a second but that was about it was BIG put up a strong defensive hold, going 9-3 up.
prosus kept it clean in the second pistol on Inferno as BIG hit double digits and hit match point in no time. reV3nnnn and EmbeR pulled one back for Arise but that was it as BIG wasted no time in closing out Inferno with a 13-5 score line.
