Crazy_Gamer: "Next tournament, we will come prepared and make India proud"

Crazy_Gamer and the rest of Wicked Gaming were handed an embarrassing loss by Deep Cross on the opening day of Skyesports CEGC 2025, where they ended up losing Mirage by a 1-13 score line, and the consequent map Ancient by a 5-13 score line. After the game, we sat down with Crazy_Gamer to get his thoughts on the team’s performance and what went wrong.

A tough pill to swallow for you Crazy_Gamer. Can you walk me through the first map Mirage?

As a team, we were not prepared on Mirage. We tried to play with their veto but they chose Mirage against us. And we were not prepared at all. Mirage was not our map, we have not played it in a long time. With the previous lineup, with Ph1NNN also, we were not playing Mirage. So I don't think Mirage mattered more for us. It was fine giving them a map.

Moving on to Ancient, you had a good T-side, but a rought CT-side. Why wasn't the CT-side clicking?

On T-side, we started good. We had a 3-0 start, but then we made some crucial mistakes. We were not ready for flash-peeks. We were ready for them, but we had some coordination issues and then we were missing comms, like who is watching what. And that was our main mistake. And because of that we lost some crucial rounds. And then on CT-side, when we lost the pistol 1v3, we lost the momentum. After the pistol, we had eco on the next round, so they were already up 9-5. And on the first buy round we did not have utility for control and we were playing scared, which is why we lost that round. And overall, we were mentally down.

A lot of fans will watch this game and call this the product of 'revival of Indian CS' that has been going for two years now. Is there anything you'd like to say to them?

I'd like to say that we as a team, we are trying out best. Coming into this tournament, we were not prepared enough because we had player changes. And some of our players work as well. So we could not prepare enough. But I'd like to say, for the next tournament we will come prepared, and we will make India proud.

Will we see Ph1NNN return for the upcoming game?

I am not sure because Ph1NNN had some issues. He is coming back tomorrow, and let's see. We will talk as a team, and let's hope whatever decision we will take, it comes in favour of our team.
