WasteOfAmmo: "I didn't expect it to be this easy"

WasteOfAmmo from Deep Cross talks about their win against Wicked Gaming

After a big loss to Mousquetaires in their opening game at the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025, Deep Cross Gaming ended their Group Stage games with a big win over Wicked Gaming.

While making the finals is not in their hands anymore, the team picked up a lot of confidence following a dominating win on LAN. Post their game, Deep Cross Gaming's WasteOfAmmo spoke with Dust2 India, discussing about their game and more.

So WasteOfAmmo, you had two games on the same day. How did you reset after a loss to Mousquetaires?

We just reset by forgetting what happened in the first game, and stayed positive basically. We kept supporting each other.

It was quite a dominating win for the team. Especially that Mirage win, was it a punish pick?

Yeah and it feels good. Finally we can get some wins in LAN. It's our first LAN together, so yeah it feels good.

Did you expect a much better fight from Wicked Gaming?

Yeah, for sure. I did not expect it to be this easy. But I think we did well to play good. And I think we did less mistakes than the first game.

How does it feel to get to play a LAN event with a mixed team from players across Asia?

It's interesting. Different cultures, obviously. So yeah, it's fun to get to know these people from all over the world, and play CS together.

Have any hopes of qualifying for the Final?

I think it's almost zero, but we are hopeful.
