DayMake: "We don't have a lot of tournaments, but we still want to show our game"
It was a far from ideal start for Deep Cross Gaming at the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025 as they were beaten comprehensively by JACKZ's Mousquetaires. After their 0-2 loss to the French team, Deep Cross' captain, DayMake had a short chat with Dust2 India, discussing about the game and more.
Well, DayMake, this was a very important game for you, but unfortunately you couldn't close it. How are your emotions right now?
We were almost able to show our game. But we made same mistakes on both maps. It was literally the same mistakes. So it was a little unlucky for us. So yeah, we just threw our game.
Did you get any practice with this lineup?
Actually this is a full new lineup, so we did not get a lot of practice. But overall, I'd say we got like two weeks of practice.
On Inferno, you had a lead in the second half, but then it fell apart on round 17 where they rushed B. What happened that round?
A lot of stuff happened that round and we just miscommunicated. We had the site under control, and they tried to rotate. We were ready for that but we just took 1v1 duels across the map. And then we lost that round.
Lastly, you have played a lot of Skyesports tournament so far. How important do you think these are for the Asian region?
It is very important for Asian region. Right now, we don't have a lot of Open Qualifiers. So it is important for everyone playing in this region. We don't have a lot of tournaments, but we still want to show in the games we play on LAN.
