Wicked Gaming brushed aside with ease in their opening game at Skyesports CEGC 2025
After going down to Mousquetaires in their opening game at the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025, Deep Cross Gaming bounced back in style as they hammered Indian team Wicked Gaming in their group stage match. The Indian team managed a total of six rounds across the series in a poor display on the big stage.
A B hit from Deep Cross saw WasteOfAmmo opened up the site for the first pistol of the series before clyd1e held on in a nervy 1v1 against f1redup to avoid letting the Indian team pick up a big force buy win. A sloppy start from Wicked Gaming saw Deep Cross capitalise on numerous mistakes from the Indian converting numerous man advantages. After 10 in a row a double from f1redup to open and close the round saw Wicked Gaming get on the board. One was all Wicked could manage as Deep Cross closed out their pick with a commanding 13-1 win.
CycloneF picked up a big double to see Wicked hit the A site to start Ancient with the T pistol and it was a back and forth start with force wins from Deep Cross not letting Wicked Gaming run away early on, on their T side. A couple of big rounds from Crazy_Gamer and f1redup helped Wicked Gaming pick up five T rounds while it was DayMake's AWP that helped Deep Cross win out the half.
Despite Crazy_Gamer coming in with a big triple, it was a DayMake 1v3 that saw Deep Cross even out the pistols on Ancient. With little to no resistance from the Wicked Gaming defence, Deep Cross waltzed to a 13-5 win to close out the series 2-0. It was Deep Cross' captain DayMake leading from the front, not only topping the scoreboard with 23 kills but had massive impact with multiple clutches to deny Wicked Gaming anything on their CT side.
