
StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 schedule revealed
With less than two weeks to go for the final Counter-Strike 2 Major of the year, the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, StarLadder has revealed the schedule for the Major. The event will have four stages, which gets underway from November 24, 2025.
Stage 1 action will get things going, starting from November 24, 2025 and will go on until November 27, 2025. The opening three stages will be following a Swiss stage format with the opening round and round 2 following a BO1 formats. Round 3 will have four BO1s and four BO3s with round 4 and round 5 set to have six BO3s and 3 BO3s respectively.
Stage 2 and Stage 3 will follow the same format with Stage 2 kicking off from November 29, 2025 and will go on until December 2, 2025. Stage 3's dates are from December 3, 2025 to December 7, 2025. The opening three stages will have a day's gap between them.
Stage 1 have 3 Asian teams in Lynn Vision, Rare Atom and The Huns with FlyQuest being the representatives from the broader Asia-Pacific region. Out of the 16 teams in Stage 1, the top 8 will move to Stage 2, where already 8 teams await them. Stage 2 have TYLOO as the only confirmed Asian team. The top 8 teams from Stage 2 will then qualify for Stage 3 where The MongolZ have secured a spot as the furthest confirmed Asian team.
The 8 teams, who make it to the Playoffs, will get the playoffs underway from December 11, 2025. The two quarter-finals and semi-finals will be BO3 encounters with the final set to be a BO5 grand final, with Valve recently announcing the move to BO5 finals for all future Majors as well.
